Welcome to Can Jan Vives, a small, family-run bed & breakfast located in Vidreres, Girona.
Our 19th-century farmhouse has been carefully renovated to preserve its original charm while offering modern comfort. We provide cozy but spacious rooms, a welcoming atmosphere, and the calm of countryside living. Start your day with a fresh breakfast, relax by the pool or in the garden, and explore the beautiful natural surroundings or the nearby coast.

Another hidden gem, this B&B I would not recommend simply to keep this of the radar of all people. The B&B is locatiedirecteur in a very good location just 20 to 30 minutes from some of the Costa Brava coasts and right next to Vidreres.
Paul (owner) is a magnificent human, he is a very good host and provider outstanding service.

I stayed 11 nights at Can Jan Vives as a solo traveller.
The rooms are large, comfortable and beautiful, whilst also being well equipped. There is plenty of outside space too, with lots of places to sit and relax.
In terms of service, I felt extremely welcome and accommodated for. The host - Paul - is a really nice guy who you can have interesting conversations with. He is also a talented multilinguist, I heard him speak at least 4 languages fluently during my stay!
The location is very peaceful and is situated next to a highway for easy and quick access to Girona, which has a beautiful Old Town that is worth exploring. You also have the option to park up (for free!) at the train station in Sils (around 10 minutes drive) to catch the train to Barcelona easily.
I spent most of my time cycling in the local area which is fantastic for road, gravel or just general leisure cycling. There are also plenty of walking paths right out of the gate.
Overall, a highly recommended stay.

Thank you for making our “Spain golf trip” truly unique. Paul, the host, is an unbelievable lovely and kind guy, making every minute of our stay truly perfect. If you are searching for quiet and cosy place then Can Jan Vives is definitely for you. The house and rooms are clean, love that there is no TV in the room, that way you can have a nice getaway from too fast everyday.

Can’t find enough kind words for Paul, the host - he’s incredibly welcoming. The breakfast is delicious, the rooms are cosy, and the whole house and estate feel peaceful and homely. We will definitely be back.

Can Jan Vives were incredibly hospitable and friendly. We were referred to this BNB by another host, and they far exceeded our expectations. We felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout our stay. The location was safe, quiet, and very clean. Highly recommended.

Can Jan Vives is such a beautiful place! The house has a lot of character, rooms are cozy and very clean, and the pool area is perfect to relax. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, and the hosts are really welcoming. Great location to enjoy Costa Brava while still feeling peaceful. Definitely a place to come back to!

Paul welcomed us on short notice. He is such a great host, recommending also great restaurants in the nearby village. We loved the old house and the beautifully styled and very clean room. Great breakfast also, free, if you book directly on their website. We will come back for sure, thank you, Paul!

It's a house on the outskirts with a few guest rooms. The hosts are very friendly and their dog is somewhat curious, but calm. Our stay was very nice.

It is a quietly located B&B, with nice rooms and a good bed. The breakfast is tasty and extensive.

a very friendly welcome from the owners who are very caring. A charming setting, a very spacious room with particularly comfortable bedding, all very clean. Very quiet, a superb swimming pool, an extra breakfast. The location is perfect with beautiful villages to see around.

Had a great week in a nice quiet location. Rooms are spacious and the AC works well too. Swimming pool is lovely, nice in the sun.

In Can Jan Vives I spent a wonderful weekend with my friends. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts even better. The rooms are decorated with taste and nice details. If you need to relax and yet be very close to the wonderful beaches of the Costa Brava, this is the place to be. As I live in Barcelona and Can Jan Vives is 1 hour away from the city, we will be back for one of the holiday weekends.

We have been this weekend of San Juan in the beautiful house that Paul and Liesbeth have and we cannot have more than nice words for them and the space they have created. Both we and our dog Ariel have felt at home.
The rooms are very well-kept and comfortable, the environment of the house is very pleasant and ideal for disconnecting and relaxing and the two of them, a 10! very attentive at all times to make our stay great and make us feel one more of their home.
Ariel will certainly miss them, but so will we!

Can Jan Vives highly recommended. Nicely located and a good base. A very beautiful region for cycling enthusiasts. You can safely cycle there. Wonderful sweet hostess and gentleman, Liesbeth and Paul and their sweet dog Jules. We had spotted an “All in Package”, wild boars, Satellite train of Elon Musk, in the village the celebration of Sant Joan with fireworks. In short, a fantastic week ???

Truly amazing. Spend some time there with my best friends after a busy few days in Barcelona. It’s peacefull and really beautiful over there. It felt like home, the way we we’re welcomed and spend our time with the hosts who are so kind & lovely. The beds are amazing, the rooms are really beautiful, comfortable and luxe. Would defenetly recommend this place and go there again as soon as possible!!

I was last minute struggeling to find a place to stay for the night. Although I called them out of the blue at 6pm, they still agreed to host me. They welcomed me wholeheartedly and even invited me to their family dinner!

Wow, what a wonderful stay I had here! The beds are good, the bnb is beautiful and beyond expectations. The owners make you feel completely at home and gave us great tips regarding activities in the area. It is 100% recommended and I will definitely come back! Thank you very much for the hospitality and the wonderful time in sunny Spain!

FAQs
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, dogs are welcome, but always upon request, so we can keep track of how many dogs are on the property at the same time and for a maximum of 2 days per booking. The extra cost is €15 per dog, per night.
Keep in mind we also have a dog : Jules so we only accept friendly dogs.
Other pets than dogs are not allowed.
Do you provide baby beds or high chairs?
Yes, we offer a baby bed and high chair free of charge for children up to 2 years old.
For older children, we can add an extra bed (where possible) for €30 per night. This must be arranged in advance and is not available in all rooms.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is between 16:00 and 20:00.
Check-out is until 10:30 in the morning.
Is parking available?
Yes, you can park for free on the property. There is enough space for all our guests.
Is breakfast included?
Breakfast is included when you book directly through our website.
Bookings made via other platforms (like Booking.com or Airbnb) do not include breakfast by default.
Is there a kitchen we can use?
No, guests do not have access to the kitchen. But we have a fridge that is for the guests. You can use up to one shelf per room.
Do all rooms have a private bathroom?
Yes, every room has its own private bathroom with a shower, toilet, and towels provided.
Can we rent the whole B&B?
We no longer rent out the entire house as a holiday home.
Is it possible to add an extra bed in the room?
Yes, we can add an extra bed for €30 per night. Baby beds are free of charge.
This is only possible in certain rooms, so please contact us in advance to check availability.
